Automated Media Kit Generator

A self-service tool that turns a form submission into a polished, branded sales deck in seconds.

THE PROBLEM

A team of newsletter industry experts from Ad Astra Media and the Inbox Collective partnered up to develop a newsletter monetization playbook that helps newsletters operators build sustainable ad revenue. The playbook walks them through the full process, including how to land their first advertiser, which means having a media kit. In most cases, operators were developing their sales decks manually: pulling together slides in whatever presentation tool they had on hand, guessing at what to include, and sometimes hiring a designer just to make it look presentable. While the instructions existed in the playbook, the work of actually building the deck still fell entirely on the newsletter operator.

THE SOLUTION

We built a self-service media kit generator, delivered as a gated product tied directly to the playbook purchase. A customer buys the playbook, receives an access link, logs in with the email used at checkout, and fills out a structured form. From two triggers — a completed purchase and a submitted form — the system handles everything else: access verification, usage limits, document generation, and delivery. The customer receives three ready-to-use, professionally designed versions of their media kit, all without any manual work on the operator's side.

WHAT HAPPENS AUTOMATICALLY

Once a purchase is completed and a form is submitted, the system manages the rest of the workflow behind the scenes, including:

  • Verifying the customer's email against the purchase record and granting or denying form access

  • Enforcing a per-customer usage limit of 3 submissions, routing to an alternate ending if the limit has been reached

  • Generating three professionally designed versions of the media kit from the submitted information

  • Sending the customer an email with their media kit, a re-submission link, and their remaining usage credits
